Admissions guidance

Referral suitability

How we review every application with care, fairness, and clear consideration.

Our core assessment principle

All referrals are considered individually. Meeting the criteria does not guarantee accommodation. Suitability depends on circumstances, needs, risks, support requirements, accommodation suitability and availability. Where our service is not suitable, we will try to connect individuals with another appropriate service.

Suitability factors we examine in every referral

Personal circumstances & background

Understanding current housing stability, individual history, and personal strengths.

Specific support requirements

Identifying practical life skills, budgeting guidance, and tailored wellbeing needs.

Risk management & safeguarding

Ensuring an environment where the individual, co-residents, and team stay secure.

Property fit & bed availability

Matching room layouts, communal dynamics, and current vacancies across our homes.

Alternative pathway support

If our current accommodation or staffing cannot safely meet someone’s needs, we actively signpost caseworkers and individuals to local East Midlands partner agencies.
